LATEST ON COMPETITION SCORE CARDS AND PRIZE GIVING

Dear members

We would like to inform you of a few changes as our Captain Brian feels that we should have prize giving on competition days and he has decided to donate prizes until the 15th of June when hopefully we will be back to normality, a very generous gesture.

-Competition golf will resume as of the 24th of May, the competitions will be played according to the existing schedule. The competition entry sheets are currently on a provisional club board outside the pro shop but please bring your own pencil and rubber to write with. Tee times are available from 11:00h-13:30h.

-No cards are to be signed or exchanged by the player, only the marker. So, in singles or 2 balls you write the names on the card of your fellow competitors, not your own. At the end of the round the cards are to be checked verbally hole by hole and then signed by the marker. Please don’t forget to check handicaps, there will be no handicap sheet on the board for the time being so you must check your handicaps on line.

-Until the 15th of June cards are to be put in the score card box which will be located on the window in the club hut. There will also be an A3 sheet attached to the hut for you to write in your score. The results will be announced on the day by our Captain at prize giving. The cards will be checked 48hrs later and then the final results will be posted on the website as normal. ONLY COMMITTEE MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE HUT, if you wish to speak to the captain please do so from the window.

-Singles will be counted as qualifiers. To count as holed, part of the ball must be in the hole below the putting surface. Simply hitting the flag pole is not sufficient

-There will be no competition entry fee or 2´s until after the 15th of June. No vouchers will be given out either. The committee will review the situation weekly and if this changes the Membership will be informed.

-The water supply in the shed will still remain closed.

-The club house will be open also from the 18th May and Mario has asked if we could all please respect the rules, no exceptions. The safer we stay the better for us all in the long run.

Any queries or questions please don’t hesitate to e mail the committee for any information. Thanks again Brian for your generosity and as always stay safe everyone and enjoy your golf.

Michael on behalf of Your Committee
