1. Company Matters
1.1. Rui Gloria is going to discuss with Nelson the possibility of putting a buggy path on the 13th which will go to the left of the tees. There is also the possibility of having a buggy route to the fairway just forward of the ladies’ tee.
1.2. Rod Smith has sourced a device which enables the ball to be removed from the hole without the need to touch the pin. Our Chairman Geoffrey Harnett very kindly offered to fund the cost of these.
1.3. The Autumn Festival schedule is out and will be the full six days, at present.
2. Approval of minutes
2.1. Minutes approved and signed by the Captain.
3. Matters Arising/to discuss
3.1. Captain’s Day will be a singles competition with a two tee start, the 1st and 10th with the first tee time being 9.30. A buffet will follow at 18.30. the cost will be €25 including wine.
3.2. Members Day will be held on the 16th of September and will follow a similar format to Captain’s Day. It will be fully subsidized and will be a Charity Day.
3.3. The Club championship is still scheduled for the 31st October/1st November.
3.4. The Newsham Trophy will be played on the 28th October.
4. Treasurer’s Report
4.1. We are on target to meet the proposed budget for this year.
4.2. Only four of last year’s team shirts remain to be sold.
4.3. Net assets available are €18,950.05
5. Handicap Report
5.1. The new Handicap system comes in to force on Wednesday 19th August. Most members handicaps will change. There will be teething problems with the new system. All members will be emailed about the new system.
5.2. Should anyone have any queries regarding their handicap, please email the club and your query will be answered as soon as possible.
6. Captains Update
6.1. The Captain’s Away trip is going ahead as planned, in November. More details will be in his upcoming blog.
7. AOB
7.1. Members are asked to email the club if they have any queries about any club matters and the query will be passed to whoever is best qualified to answer.
