Wednesday 24th March will be remembered by at least two golfers at PDF, for a very special reason. On reaching the 18th green, David Johnson, who has been coming to the Parque with his parents since he was 8 years old, fell onto one knee, and proposed to his girlfriend, Sophie Powell. Luckily for David, she said yes, and the engagement ring was produced from the hole on the 18th, and placed on Sophies finger. The whole event was witnessed by both sets of parents.
The PDF Members presented Sophie and David with a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of ‘bubbly’ to mark their special day. David did say a few words of thanks to the Members, which was well applauded, and of course, we wish them a very Happy Life Together. On the downside, Sophie did 3 put the 18th hole.
MEMBERS DAY 30th SEPTEMBER
We will be holding a Members Day on 30th September. Full details will follow, but please put this date in your diaries. The golf, prizes and the meal, will all be paid for from the Members Reserve Account. All you will have to find on the day, is the money for your drinks. I hope to get everything in place by mid July, when I can give you full details of how the day will look.
